FLEC supports standardised, repeatable surface-emission testing in laboratories and directly on installed materials.
Standards supported by the FLEC system
FLEC® is designed for emission testing in accordance with ISO 16000-10, ASTM D7143-24, NT BUILD 438 and NT BUILD 484.
These methods describe the use of emission cells for determining emissions of volatile organic compounds from building products, furnishings and other material surfaces.
Sampling and analysis
Supporting sampling and analytical procedures are described in the relevant parts of the ISO 16000 and ISO 16017 series. Laboratories should always use the current edition of each applicable standard and select sampling media and analytical procedures appropriate for the target compounds.
