The Flec Cell (Field and Laboratory Emission Cell) is made of certified solid acid-resisting stainless steel. All surfaces, getting in touch with the sample emitted, are polished. This provides, together with the very small surface area of the test-chamber, a dramatic minimizing of the sink-effect compared to the sinkeffect of conventional chambers. The outlet split provides up to 90% of the supplied air to be collected on one or two sample tubes, and secure a very small, but constant overpressure in the chamber.
FL-0100 FLEC Test Kit for Recovery Measurements
By knowing the evaporation (emission) rate for a single compound by equal conditions as for your test material (air velocity, humidity, temperature and pressure) you are able to make recovery measurements.
The FLEC Test Kit for Recovery Measurements consists of a glass plate with a cut hole in the centre adapted for a small vial, and an insolating pad.
Add the desired VOC to the vial and weigh in. Place the glass plate with the vial on the insolating pad, and place the FLEC Cell with the desired input flow on top. Note the time. After some hours, according to the evaporating rate of the compound, weigh out and calculate the evaporation rate. Knowing the evaporation rate you can take a sample by a defined time and flow rate and calculate the weight of the compound absorbed on the sample tube(s).

The FLEC Application Roller is used together with a FLEC Test Plate for application of paint or coatings to a testplate
It is made of harden chromium-plated solid steel for the best surface, durability and tolerance. The weight itself make a constant pressure by doing the application.
The FLEC Test Plate for Paint and Coatings is designed for applications of test materials onto a defined surface area with a defined coating thickness and with the possibility to check the weight.
The application thickness is defined by the thickness of a foil laminated on an aluminium plate.
The application surface area is defined by the area of a circular hole in the foil. By applying about 2 ml of the test material to the hole on the plate and distribute it by use of the Application Roller a defined application thickness is attaint. By removing the foil the defined application area is attaint.
The possibility to check the weight of the test material is coursed by the comparatively small weight of the Test Plate and the defined surface area of the test material.
FLEC Air Control 1000
The FLEC Air Control / 1000, is designed to control the air flow and air humidity for the FLEC Cell. A clean and dry air 2 – 8 bar has to be supplied. The air passes through a pressure regulator, a manometer and a replaceable charcoal filter, and then divided into two channels, right and left.
Right channel goes to a flow controller – flowmeter to a 3-way valve. Left channel goes to a flow controller – a safety release valve – flowmeter – humidifier – condenser to a 3-way valve.
By turning the 3-way valves, the dry air and the humid air are mixed. The humidity of the mixed air is defined by the flows set by the flow controllers. The valves may be used for reference measurements of respectively dry, humid and mixed air flows.
FLEC Sub Unit
The FLEC Sub Unit provides together with the FLEC Cell emission testing of not planar surfaces. It is made of solid aluminum with a cylindrical chamber. To adapt the chamber for optimal volume and air velocity the bottom of the chamber can be easily adjusted according to the thickness of the testmaterial.
The FLEC Sub Unit are mare in two versions FL-2001 and FL-2002.
FL-2001 have an internal diameter of 150 mm and is suited for testing dry materials with a rouge or porous surface e.g. Carpet, tree and insulating materials. The testmaterials has to be cut in a radius of 150 mm to be able to seal up to the wall of the chamber.
FL-2002 have an internal diameter of 152 mm and is suited for testing wet or liquid materials e.g. not hardened or biological materials. The material is then placed in a petridish with an outer diameter of 152 mm and an internal diameter close to 150 mm
