Application

Production quality control with FLEC®

Integrate repeatable surface-emission sampling into product development and manufacturing quality control.

Emission testing close to production

FLEC® is used in production-line quality control, including the manufacture of wood flooring, paints and coatings. Its defined sampling area supports consistent comparisons between products, batches and process conditions.

The system can help manufacturers evaluate material choices, monitor process changes and document surface emissions as part of an internal quality programme.

Suitable product groups

  • Wood flooring and finished wood products
  • Paints and surface coatings
  • Carpets and textile surfaces
  • Sealants, adhesives and related building products

From baseline to corrective action

  1. Establish a baseline using defined material preparation, climate, airflow and sampling conditions.
  2. Measure representative samples from products or production batches.
  3. Compare results with the internal baseline or agreed acceptance criteria.
  4. Investigate deviations and document changes to raw materials or process conditions.

Keep test conditions comparable

Quality-control comparisons depend on consistent preparation, material age, conditioning, climate, airflow, exposed area and analysis. Test at defined times after production or coating application. Heterogeneous materials may require several representative specimens. Use the relevant FLEC, sampling and analytical methods when results form part of formal documentation.
