Editorial summary

This paper introduces version 1.2 of INCHEM-Py, an open-source model for indoor air chemistry. It represents gas-phase reactions, surface deposition, indoor–outdoor air exchange, photolysis and gas-to-particle partitioning for three common terpenes. The model is evaluated against published experiments and another chemical box model. Its treatment of surfaces draws on earlier research, including the FLEC study by Klenø and colleagues on ozone removal by building products, which is explicitly named in the reference list.
