Editorial summary

This global review compiles studies published from 2007 to 2017 on phthalates in air and dust, finding wide concentration variation and generally higher reported levels in developing countries. DEHP and DBP were the predominant compounds, while temperature, humidity, air exchange, building materials and maintenance were identified as important influences on indoor levels. FLEC occurs through citations to earlier FLEC emission studies rather than through any experiment conducted by the review authors.

Editorial, non-verbatim summary based on the Elsevier publisher abstract and publisher-indexed reference information.

FLEC use

FLEC mention, comparison or reference

The article is a global literature review. The verified FLEC occurrence is in cited prior work, including the FLEC airflow/DEHP measurement-and-CFD study; the review itself performs no FLEC experiment and gives no substantive FLEC method development.
