Influence of indoor environmental factors on mass transfer parameters and concentrations of semi-volatile organic compounds

Editorial summary
This review analyses how temperature, humidity, ventilation, airborne particles, source loading and indoor chemistry influence SVOC mass-transfer parameters and concentrations. It concludes that temperature affects all mass-transfer parameters, while humidity and ventilation change partitioning and emission in compound- and context-dependent ways, and it calls for combined-factor studies in real indoor environments. Prior FLEC studies of DEHP emissions from vinyl flooring are used as literature evidence, but the authors report no new FLEC measurements.
Editorial, non-verbatim summary based on the Elsevier publisher abstract and searchable full-text evidence for the review's treatment of prior FLEC studies.
FLEC use
FLEC mention, comparison or reference
The review discusses published DEHP-flooring experiments performed in FLECs, including results on humidity and airflow, as evidence about environmental effects. It neither develops the FLEC method nor performs new FLEC measurements.
